My Approach to Helping
*YOGA & MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT* Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, work issues, or difficulty adjusting to life's transitions, I believe an integrative approach involving counseling and yoga can help you. In my private practice, Root to Rise Counseling, I provide compassionate and empirically-supported care rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Trauma-Informed Yoga. These goal-oriented and research-based practices are effective in helping you to understand and gain control over the connections between your thoughts, feelings, body, and behavior.
Creating a shift in your wellness is a difficult decision to make, and I hope to help it feel easier for you. I will meet you where you're at mentally; all you have to do is show up. Options are available for traditional talk therapy sessions, therapy+yoga sessions, group therapy, and group workshops. Previous experience with yoga is not necessary.
I'm committed to creating a counseling experience for you that integrates the principles of mental health and trauma-informed yoga philosophy, allowing your mind and body to collaborate as you work toward recovery.
