My Approach to Helping
I enjoy building relationships with people so they may deepen their awareness and understanding of themselves and their experiences. My work connects clients with their strength and intelligence, learning tools to build their inner resources and feel empowered to make lasting change. We collaborate on setting intentions and goals to bring greater peace and love into their lives.
I passionately believe in a holistic approach to wellness, honoring the integrated nature of the physical, emotional and mind body to promote emotional well-being. As a psychotherapist and yoga teacher, my approach is a blend of traditional psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and yoga as therapy.
I have assisted in research on yoga and mental health and lead the women's trauma sensitive yoga group- a program initiated by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk at the Brookline Trauma Center. I have completed advanced training in Yoga and offer Yoga as Therapy workshops to individuals and health care professionals around New England.
