My Approach to Helping
Pregnant and new moms, how are you doing? Really. Are you holding it together in front of others but crying by yourself when you're alone? Do you feel pressure to be-all and do-all? Do you feel like you're not yourself? Are other people worried about you? Is it hard to get through the day? Are you dreading that tomorrow will be the same? Here's the thing...a lot of women have a hard time, it's not just you. But, since nobody really talks about it, you may feel alone, or that something is "wrong" with you.
Well, I'm here to tell you, you're not alone, it's not just you, you can feel better! You can find ways to manage and live your life the way you want. I have seen time and again, the positive and lasting change for people who are willing to get the help and do the work, while in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment. Sometimes you just need a little help. That's where I come in...
I believe in being transparent about the therapeutic process so that we can work together. I believe in being real with people. Therapy shouldn't be a mystery. It should be meaningful, tangible and work for you.

While I see people with all kinds of difficulties, My special interest is in helping women and their partners who are dealing with Maternal Mental Health challenges, including: MISCARRIAGE AND LOSS, PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM ADJUSTMENT difficulties. That may include depression, anxiety, trauma, overwhelm, stress, or relationship problems.
I run a FREE drop-in PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM STRESS SUPPORT GROUP for moms out of Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Women's Center, Pomona. 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays 12:30-2pm. This group is helpful and supportive for pregnant or postpartum moms who feel down, anxious, depressed or overwhelmed. We discuss ways to cope, stress management skills, relationship stress and much more. You can just show up, no need to sign up.
I see clients in-person for therapy sessions at the Claremont CA office. I also see clients through online therapy sessions on a safe, secure, confidential and HIPPA compliant online therapy site.
