My Approach to Helping
In 2010 I graduated from Antioch University, Los Angeles in Clinical Psychology and work as a psychotherapist specializing in Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN,) Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (BPS) to help adults find their own sense of self-worth, overcome trauma, become more mindful and have more loving relationships.
In a therapy room, utilizing a holistic approach, I bring a blend of my experiences, engage with a client in many different psychotherapeutic techniques to maximize one’s own inner strengths, which I call one’s inner light. From there, a client can differentiate the past from the present in terms of cognition, emotions, body sensations and behaviors. Hence, navigating life’s difficulties of changing destructive patterns and finding more creative and productive solutions becomes easier as therapy progresses. A client is prepared to see subjective experiences more objectively, takes initiative in doing work, while I offer support, show genuine interest and give honest and timely productive feedback. The power of holistic approach that is individually tailored using the newest brain research approaches such as CEN, EMDR and BPS transforms one toward self-clarity and self-improvement. The consistency of providing self-compassion and mindfulness- suffering is no longer necessary. One gets to feel good enough and no longer strives for perfection, but rather is reassured of using the inner knowledge and wisdom that was there from the very beginning.
I hope to talk to you soon.
