My Approach to Helping
Life = struggle. It's true, or it wouldn't be life. Why not have a helping hand to get through it. Consider your therapist as a hammer, helping you build whatever it is your building. It helps you get to the goal, the finishing project, but it's not useful without you using it, and applying the effort towards what you're trying to create.
I'm traditionally a CBT psychotherapist who also utilizes other forms of techniques and therapies as they pertain to the client's needs to achieve a successful treatment.
I have a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of St. Thomas, a private Catholic University located in Houston, Texas.
A good therapist is someone who is your cheerleader but also provides the hard truths. Allow me to be that support in your life, to help, heal, empower and move forward in positive directions.
I have worked in diverse settings working with countless categories of focus. Primarily, I specialize in working with adult individuals, family and couples in addition to resolving depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment disorders, stress management, and identity development to name a few.
