My Approach to Helping
If you are here, you are likely looking for some relief. I help people like you to develop the muscles (emotional, intellectual, and social) you need to grow and live your life joyously in an ever changing and uncertain world. My approach helps you to develop your capacity to create your life. Life doesn't just happen to us; we have a part to play in how we relate to ourselves and others.
I help you to slow down, to unravel the assumptions you have about yourself, about others, and about your problems, that prevent you from living life in creative and gratifying ways. You discover that there are other ways to see and live life, and that you can create them.
I work with individuals and couples and groups: creative people, business owners, parents, helping professionals, women, LGBT community, men, people of color and not. I also work within groups and organizations.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love helping people to transform their lives into something of their own making, and beyond what they thought possible. People often come for help feeling powerless, in pain, and unable to impact their circumstances. It is an incredible privilege to help people to learn how to take what there is - often not so pretty or easy to work with - and use it to grow and to discover new ways of being, new ways of seeing, and the skills to do that all the time, with whatever comes their way. As a psychotherapist and coach, I love helping people to develop those emotional muscles, and to create space for using them in their lives. It is the cure for what ails them. Growth and development is what mental health, and living a joyous human life is all about. The Possibility Practice enables people to grow, and to feel and get better. I love that.
