My Approach to Helping
I am a certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and a certified EMDR therapist, who also has advanced training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Havening Techniques. I also work in the therapy models of Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Coherence Therapy, and Self-Compassion Therapy.
I utilize interpersonal communication skills and a range of evidence-based techniques when providing treatment for adults and couples. I help people in therapy recognize and change maladaptive thought and behavioral patterns so they can improve their personal and professional lives. Each person has the capacity to make positive changes. I work with people to help them harness their strengths, reach their therapeutic goals, and find lasting peace, balance, and happiness.
Therapy provides a comfortable setting in which individuals may freely express their concerns, engage in objective reflection, learn how to improve their relationships, and find healing. I actively seek to understand each person‚??s unique circumstances and provide needed help regardless of age, gender, race, or religion.
