I have found that there is no greater honor than working with a person who is struggling and has the strength and wisdom to seek professional help. I have heard it said "if you have a pulse, you have problems." None of us make it through life without situations that challenge our ability to cope and to find healthy resolution to problem situations. My goal is to provide an environment where you can feel safe to share your struggles and we can work together to find answers that will put you back on the path of living the life you desire. I am solution-focused and believe that the outcome of therapy should be for you to have tools that you can use in the future to deal with life's challenges. I look forward to working with you!

My Guiding Ethical Principles

When I was in graduate school there were two ethical principles that really took root in my life. The first is "Do no harm." It is the job of a therapist to act as an advocate for the client. We must always put the physical and emotional safety of our clients above all else. We need to be sure to always act in the best interest of our clients. The other principle was "Therapist know thyself." It is imperative that the therapist is healthy and that therapy is always about the client and not ourselves. These two principles have been critical in the development of my philosophy along with the intention of always doing for others as I would want someone to do for me.
