My Approach to Helping
Curiosity and collaboration are at the heart of my approach to therapy. I help my clients challenge negative thinking, develop coping skills, process and heal from complex traumas, and navigate their relationships more comfortably. As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand that our histories — and the histories of our communities — have an impact on how we move through the world.
Through our work together, my hope is that you will come to better understand yourself and will be able to make the changes you want to make in life. Together, we will explore your life through a lens that recognizes your full experience, making it possible for us to identify your innate strengths and resources, and to better understand the complexities of who you are.
As a therapist, I am a person first; I bring a genuine sense of curiosity, honesty, humor, and compassion to my work with clients. In recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, I do my best to take my clients’ lead in adapting my approach to align with their needs. It is my hope that, together, we will create a therapeutic relationship that leads to supportive, sustained change.
