My Approach to Helping
From the first session Kaila brings a warm and welcoming energy to her practice. She understands that entering into therapy can often feel overwhelming and acknowledges the courage it takes to come to therapy and begin a journey towards growth and healing. Kaila uses evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT, while also incorporating frameworks specific to each person’s needs. She provides clients with applicable skills to use in their everyday life for managing anxiety, depression, and conflict. Kaila also offers a safe and trusting place to process trauma and grief. She works collaboratively with her clients to set goals and identify opportunities for growth. Kaila honors the depth of trust within the therapeutic relationship and meets each client with empathy and acceptance.
