My Approach to Helping
I focus on supporting clients in identifying their sources of resiliency through an exploration of strengths and through the development of a safe and collaborative relationship. I strive to build a relationship based on honesty, compassion, and hope. I use a humanistic style in my therapeutic approach, rooted in the belief that we are more alike than different and through courage and honest self-reflection, personal evolution and healing can occur.
I specialize in treating individuals who suffer from symptoms of trauma. I use a combination of modalities including body-based therapy, to alleviate psychosomatic symptoms, to cognitive-behavioral focused techniques which aim to develop new thinking patterns and coping skills. I also have extensive experience in couples, family and group therapy.
