Fees: I am setup as a self-pay practice, so I do not bill insurance. The benefit in going this route is that we will not have to operate under the control of an insurance company-- this means that you will not be limited to a certain number of sessions and that I will not be required to diagnose you with a mental health disorder or share your personal information with the insurance company. I am happy to discuss my rate with you--feel free to inquire by email or phone.

My Approach to Helping

I provide mental health services for highly sensitive people, introverts and those struggling with codependency andor burnout. My work is guided by a deep appreciation of the uniqueness of my clients. I am much less concerned about labels and diagnosis, as I am with getting to know you as a human being and making sense of how your experiences have brought you to this point.

I help people become curious about their inner world, develop greater self-compassion, feel more grounded and experience newfound meaning and satisfaction in life.

No matter what you are dealing with, therapy provides you with an opportunity for healing. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial to successful treatment. I am committed to establishing a relationship with you that is based on non-judgment, trust, and safety so we can work towards your goals effectively.

You can expect honesty, respect, and acceptance in each session with me. It is very important to find the right therapist, so if we are not an ideal fit for each other, I will refer you to a new therapist who may be a better fit for your needs.

I am also deeply committed to advocating for and supporting LGBTQ individuals.

My Role as a Therapist

Pema Chodron says it well, "Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well, can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity."
