Choosing a therapist and the style of therapy that fits your needs - be it traditional talk therapy and/or art therapy - is essential to the success of your journey. I am trained in multiple types of therapy, and will work with you to collaboratively tailor an individualized treatment approach to meet your specific needs and goals.
I strive to meet people where they are, and understand their experiences so that I can best support, encourage and promote restoration and healing. I have a passion for working with adolescents and their families, as well as with individuals looking for new growth and transformation.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist/Art Therapist I believe in your ability to change and grow - and I will walk side by side with you through that journey.
I have experience working with issues of anxiety, self harm, depression, anger, trauma, relationship difficulties, conflicted family dynamics and substance abuse.

More Info About My Practice

As an Art therapist, I believe that art is and can be a powerful form of expressing your emotions. It is a window into your soul. I have also seen the power art can have, the space, and the opportunity it provides for struggling individuals and families to express their experiences. Through the use of art, I have had the privilege of watching those I counsel tap into their own creativity to reach and use their untouched potential to heal, grow and restore.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have a passion for working with kids. I have taught art to middle and high school students in the Los Alamitos Unified School District for over 20 years. I have an extensive history working with adolescent students ranging from 11 to 18 years of age, from a variety of socioeconomic, cultural and academic backgrounds. Over my teaching career I have worked with many at risk youths and their families.
