My Approach to Helping

The decision to seek therapy plays a big part in your decision to live a happier, healthier life. Finding the right therapist, one whom you really feel comfortable with, is an essential part of your journey.

Are you affected by depression, stress, or anxiety? Are you troubled by current relationship stressors? Perhaps you are looking to develop more self awareness, experience personal growth, and live a more meaningful life. Despite your current circumstances, you can develop a life full of authenticity, spontaneity, and self-awareness. I would be honored to help you redirect, refocus, and harness your strengths to reach your full potential.

More Info About My Practice

My professional experience includes working in both private practice and non-profit settings with both self-referred and court-ordered clientele, as a school counselor, and in a substance abuse recovery center. I feel fortunate to have had the privilege of serving, and learning from, clients of varying ages, cultures, and lifestyles.

I believe some of my greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to be respectful, genuine, and accepting of my clients. Though the idea of seeking counseling may be scary at first, I am confident you will find me a compassionate, empathic, and insightful listener; someone who is easy to talk to, making your sessions something you look forward to.

My Therapy Focus

Though I wold consider myself primarily Psychodynamic in orientation, I am adept in several modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Solution Focused Therapy. I prefer an eclectic approach to therapy; just as no two people are alike, no two treatment plans are alike, providing each client with their own, individualized, organic experience.

Regardless of theory, I believe a therapist's greatest intervention is her ability to form a trusting relationship between herself and her client. I believe that the the real magic of therapy begins when the Client feels truly heard, respected, and appreciated, without judgment, in a place of compassion.
