My Approach to Helping
I believe we all want to be a better version of ourselves & some times we need the help of a therapist to accomplish this goal. Our mental health does not define us but rather, it's a piece of the pie that composes who we are in a sense. I work with my patients on finding ways to cope with what they're struggling with and develop healthy strategies to better themselves. I know this is a difficult decision to make to come into therapy for some & I understand it can seem hopeless for you when you're dealing with depression or anxiety but I want to be that therapist that helps you. I have a lot of experience & ideas that can help you get through this tough time & allow you to be free of your symptoms. My work focuses on children, teens and young adults & I love my work! This shows through in my success with them as I can see growth with my patients in the time they see me. I use a variety of counseling techniques such as art, play, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, experiential and client centered to meet you where you are. Therapy isn't a one size fits all and I don't treat my patients like a cookie cutter. You're all different & what might work for one could not work for another & that's ok. The important thing is not giving up--& I want to be your coach helping you through this rough patch that you're having.
