Life's problems can become overwhelming, more than we can manage at times. Ready to make changes and unsure how to make them happen? I successfully work with couples, individuals and families in a supportive environment bringing about the changes they want in life. Direct and practical in my approach I look to your current situation, experiences and foundation in finding solutions. Together, with compassion and support, we can understand the origins of your discomfort, what keeps it present in your life, and what changes need to be made to let it go.
More Info About My Practice
My therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Techniques and psychoeducation. Understanding therapy is not a "one size fits all" modality, I utilize your life experiences and desired goals throughout this journey in creating change. Your motivation and commitment to the process outside of the therapy room is highlighted and encouraged.
Along with using talk therapy, I am an EMDR trained therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is a highly effective treatment for trauma and helping those who feel stuck in a memory or situation. In addition to talk therapy I use EMDR to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression and trauma affecting clients lives and relationships.
