My Approach to Helping

I believe that all human beings have the capacity to realize their full potential and to gain insight into life’s difficulties. My therapeutic approach provides empathic understanding and a safe space in which clients can explore and strengthen past and present relationships. My background working with children and their families from preschool to high as an art teacher, mindfulness educator, and therapist has provided me with a broad range of modalities that aid clients' nonverbal expression and innate creativity.

Groups I Work With

I work with children and parents to develop effective parenting strategies based on their unique values and needs. I utilize various parenting techniques including Reflecting Parenting and the RIE method. I support families in strengthening their ability to communicate and connect during periods of developmental transition. I incorporate process-oriented art and music into my work with children and families to aid their nonverbal expression and innate creativity.

I also work with individual adults and collaboratively make meaning of challenging life events while finding new ways to cope. My therapeutic approach provides empathic understanding and a safe space in which clients can explore and strengthen past and present relationships.
