My Approach to Helping
Life can be tough and challenging. You may rely on your spouse, partner, boyfriend or girlfriend, family, children, friends or coworkers to help you get past your moments of depression and anxiety that you are facing. But are you finding that these people don’t understand you, are a distraction or, unfortunately, the problem itself? As we grow older life happens: Work, finances, retirement, health and other stresses complicate relationships and compromise your mental health and well-being.
Our practice helps individuals to cope with stress, conflict, crisis and trauma in different ways. We use a broad approach that utilizes both evidence-based traditional and holistic methods. We help you to create your own path; helping you to improve your overall mental and physical health so that you may find peace and purpose in life.
My education and work in the areas of communications, individual, couples and marriage and family therapy, crisis intervention, trauma, violence, chemical dependency, in medical, mental health and case management has helped me to better understand these challenges in the aging process from youth to older adults. I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor for Social Work and Marriage and Family Clinical Interns in the State of Florida, an active member in the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and a certified case manager in social work (ACM-SW) through the American Case Management Association.
