My Approach to Helping
I know how hard it is to manage the emotional pain in life. My guiding principles include providing quality psychotherapy, support, and education and to empower individuals to develop strategies to better navigate the difficulties of life. I believe in the inherent good in people and see most problems as arising out of attempts to adapt to the challenges within an environment and not as individual weaknesses.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and provide individual therapy and specialize in treating mood disorders. However, I also treat a variety of clinical symptoms related to anxiety, depression, high functioning autism, ADHD, parenting challenges, divorce, grief, anger management, relationship issues, stress, and conflict. I have extensive knowledge and use the latest in neuroscience techniques to obtain the best therapy results.
In addition, I utilize solution-focused and evidence-based practices including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions that also include insight-building and skill development.
I strive to provide a warm, personable, compassionate, and nonjudgmental interaction style that makes therapy a very positive and engaging experience. I'm committed to helping my clients achieve success and overcome challenges and obstacles in order to fully recover and move forward with their lives.
