My Approach to Helping
My personality is calm but very focused and direct. I meet my clients where they are at in terms of their emotional availability and encourage them in consistent ways with consistency and reliability.
I have struggled with the losses and the death of loved ones just like many of my clients have done. Therefore I have found techniques such as emotional regulation, mindfulness, and distress tolerance useful to employ oftentimes with clients.
Many people suffer with anxiety and depression during this stressful period in our country and life in general. My expertise and insight focus on guiding in a cognitive manner so that they can use mindfulness and breath as ways to cope in the moment as well as work through past issues where they may still be stuck.
