My Approach to Helping

Relationships may contribute immensely to our joy and overall health because they give us fulfillment and help us to connect with other people. When there is conflict in a relationship, it is often a source incredible sadness or anxiety.
As a relationship specialist, I help people to improve their communication skills and sharpen their insight in order to experience stronger connection and intimacy. I have assisted people with a variety of adverse concerns, including family conflict, mental health issues, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, and major life adjustments. I also work very well with blended families.
I offer a comfortable, supportive space at my office where families, couples, and individuals may receive top quality mental health care. In my experience, good rapport and a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship are crucial to successful treatment. I will listen to your concerns and work with you to achieve your therapeutic goals.
I provide mental health services in English and Spanish.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Well, the bottom line is that I feel my best when I'm helping someone get through a difficult situation in life. I'm in my 50's and find that my life's experiences dove tail greatly with my education and professional experience.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It's not always easy to make that first call, but I will do my best to make the process an easy one. Sometimes you need a different perspective to help you sort out your problems. As a therapist, I collaborate with you to help you find your answers. If you are in a relationship, sometimes one person in the couple is more inclined to see a therapist than the other. We can navigate that too!

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

It's good to know what doesn't work for you, so feel free to share your experience.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Whoever you choose to be your therapist, it is important that YOU feel comfortable, safe, and that you feel rapport with the therapist.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Each session is usually 50 minutes. When you're dedicated to working on something, I recommend you commit to weekly sessions. As you begin to experience change, you may opt to coming every other week. You drive the therapy process.
