My Approach to Helping
Life can be overwhelming. Problems pile up and we feel frustrated and defeated. We may have been holding things inside for months, years or even decades. We come to a place of anxiety, depression, drugs and alcohol dependence, relationship conflict, or isolation. The ease and vitality of life that we once experienced seems too far removed. At the worst, we lose all perspective and feel hopeless. We don't want to feel this way anymore. Still, it can be so hard to take that first step and reach out for help.
As your therapist I will help you to navigate your way to a state of congruent, purposeful and self-directed living. I will work to empower you to shed your ineffective thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We all have them, but we can learn to step-back, observe and chose responses that lead us towards our goals.
I have a welcoming and light demeanor. I am easy to talk to, validating, and supportive. I offer online video therapy sessions for individuals, couples and families.
