My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed mental health counselor whose aim is to create an empathetic and empowering therapeutic environment for each individual. I tailor treatment to the unique needs and strengths of each person by flexibly integrating techniques from a variety of clinical frameworks including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. Through the collaborative work conducted in treatment, I strive to enhance an individual’s insight into his or her struggles, cultivate resolutions that improve quality of life, bolster self-esteem, and establish skills to manage symptoms adaptively.
I have extensive experience providing therapy with college age people and adults in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient mental health clinics, outpatient medical clinics, psychiatric inpatient units, counseling centers and schools. I earned my undergraduate degree from NYU and my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from USC. I went on to earn my LMHC from Yeshiva's Ferkauf School of Psychology, a division of Albert Einstein School of Medicine. I maintain a private practice where I am able to see clients virtually at the moment.
