My Approach to Helping

Jordana Nolan is a licensed mental health counselor whose aim is to create an empathetic and empowering therapeutic environment for each individual. She tailors treatment to the unique needs and strengths of each person by flexibly integrating techniques from a variety of clinical frameworks including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. Through the collaborative work conducted in treatment, Jordana Nolan strives to enhance an individual’s insight into hisher struggles, cultivate resolutions that improve quality of life, bolster self-esteem, and establish skills to manage symptoms adaptively.

Jordana has extensive experience providing therapy with adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient mental health clinics, outpatient medical clinics, psychiatric inpatient units, counseling centers and schools. She earned her undergraduate degree from NYU and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from USC. She went on to earn her LMHC from Yeshiva's Ferkauf School of Psychology, a division of Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Jordana is currently a postgraduate fellow at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP). She maintains a private practice where she is able to see clients virtually.
