My Approach to Helping
Over the past 5 years I have provided behavior intervention services to clients (2-26 yrs) and parents. If you are going through a divorce, coping with loss of a job, moving, have been diagnosed with a health issue, are expanding your family, or moving to a new school - your child may have difficult adjusting to these life changes. This is when problem behavior can surface and you may not know how to handle it. Your child may become more defiant, have trouble regulating their emotions, lie, have trouble with their peers in school, lose interest in things they love doing, verbally defiant, or engage in inappropriate online behavior.
I use science-backed behavioral methods to not only decrease problem behavior but teach appropriate skills to replace the need to engage in problem behavior in the first place. I work with parents to determine the root of the problem, put supports in place before the problem occurs, and find a way to respond in order to decrease the problem in the future.
As we all adjust to changes in the world and our everyday life, it takes a village and a community to come together and support one another. I am passionate about what behavior science can do for families. With my services I will collaborate and guide parents to set small goals towards their ideal home environment, ensuring they are successful along the way.
