My Approach to Helping
Many of my clients are in their teens, 20's or 30's. Some are coping with depression, anxiety, an unsatisfying relationship, or stressful transition. Others are seeking guidance in crystallizing their unique identity or career path, or want to invite more meaning, passion, and purpose into their life.
For over a decade, I've endeavored to provide effective, affordable therapy, focusing on the whole person, not just the symptoms. Therapy can help you quiet emotional turbulence and negative thinking, uncover barriers to positivity, heal old emotional wounds, restore balance, and experience more of your full potential.
My approach is empathetic and collaborative, being sensitive to your unique personality, needs, and goals, while striving to create an atmosphere of trust, support, and understanding. I listen deeply, help you feel comfortable with the process, offer feedback, a map towards growth, assist you in developing insights, and in moving towards a more fulfilling life.
I also offer couples counseling for those who are facing the challenges of understanding and responding to each other's needs, while maintaining their own unique identity. We can work to replace conflict with more effective communication.
Therapy sessions are available weekdays and Saturdays, mornings, afternoons and evenings. I work with several insurance plans, including Blue Shield and Kaiser Permanente. A sliding fee scale is available if paying out of pocket.
