My Approach to Helping
I have my Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of South Florida. I believe that it is very courageous for clients to take the necessary steps to better their health, especially their mental health. I am committed to working with clients to reach their goals, experience healing, and learn coping skills so that they can be the best versions of themselves. I have completed further training to be a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and currently completing training hours in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, I have been working in this field for 5 over years and has experience working with marriages, families, adults, adolescents, and children. I currently specifically works with kids, male adolescents, college age men, adult men and families.
I believe that our thoughts will eventually determine our behaviors. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and family systems theory among other theories to help clients succeed in their initial reasoning for wanting therapy. As your therapist, I will discuss with you and figure out what works best for you.
