On the journey of life you've made right choices and left choices. Sometimes you wind up in a place you never dreamed you'd be. Sometimes you arrive at a crossroads and don't know where to go. Sometimes you're tired and need to rest, or you hurt yourself or those you love. Sometimes you don't understand why. My passion for therapy comes from the unique journey I get to take with you. Our paths cross for a time, and I'm privileged to walk with you for a while along the way, providing a view from the outside, some tools and some good information. The path, hopefully, takes us both closer to our inborn freedom, resilience, joy, and equanimity. To walk farther down the path of life with another person and to see ourselves and each other in a new light day to day and week to week, is what keeps me coming back to the practice.

More Info About My Practice

My practice is based at Seattle Mindfulness Center in Phinney Ridge. I work with young professionals of color, and others, who see that their relationships, personal contentment, work life, and free time might be enhanced if they had a non-judgmental and accepting place to discuss their concerns. I provide a free initial consultation to see if our work together could be beneficial, so I invite you to contact me whenever you're ready.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Depression, Addiction Recovery, Anxiety, Coping with Trauma Symptoms, Bi-polar, Gender Conditioning

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My own experience of depression, isolation and loneliness led me on a search for wholeness and well being that included mindfulness, yoga, nature, group therapy work and exploration into the impact of gender conditioning and race conditioning that helped me realize that challenge and growth are part of the human experience. I use my own experiences to connect with others in warmth, humility and the desire for change.
