My Approach to Helping
I believe that people have the capacity to live life to its fullest, that we do not need to wander around alone and in pain, There are times when we need a guide- someone non-biased, non-judgemental to work on developing new tools to empower authentic happiness and healing. I have worked in the counseling field for over 25 years. I use a variety of modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Restructuring (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Grief and Loss Counseling, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and substance abuse counseling. By honoring your values and beliefs, we can confront issues and collaborate on solutions to bring fulfillment. I utilize a sliding scale so that people who ask for help can receive it.
