My Approach to Helping
We are all wired for connection and change, but getting started can be the most difficult part. I create a safe and supportive environment for clients to feel connected and empowered to work through their personal struggles. I work with adults, children and families dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma and challenges with life transitions. I enjoy working with both individuals and families to help everyone feel more confident with their emotions and in themselves, overall. I have many years of experience as a social worker in providing group and individual counseling to a variety of ages.
I have specialized training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy used for working with children ages birth to 5. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.
My approach is compassionate, relatable and genuine while working with you. My genuine and kind personality will help you feel comfortable and supported throughout the therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and person-centered space in which you feel heard, understood and believed.
