My Approach to Helping
I have helped many people recognize their true potential while helping them overcome their emotional difficulties. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy which has a strong science and evidence base with over 375 studies demonstrating effectiveness for depression, anxiety and a wide range of problems. In addition, I help my clients delve into understanding how their past experiences may be directly connected to some of their current emotional roadblocks. As we discover the correlation of how their past may be effecting their present state of mind, we can work on healing deeper emotional wounds. For clients with past trauma, I use inner-child work and more in depth therapy. For couples I use Sue Johnson's EFT in combination with the Gottman method of therapy.
In summary, I believe that each client has individual needs, and I use the modality I believe is the best fit for each of my clients. I use a feedback system tool(Outcome Rating Scale & Session Rating Scale) to help me monitor progress and best fit for each client.
