My Approach to Helping
I believe whole heartedly in the resiliency and power of the human spirit and that each of us is imbued with the desire to achieve, to connect and to have a sense of peace. At some point we all have gone through or are going through something that overwhelms us and steals our joy. It is my desire to guide you back to your joy or discover it for the first time. Every aspect and context of our lives contributes to how we think, feel, and behave. That is why it is our belief that you need to be treated as a "whole" and not just the sum of your parts. We were all placed here with a wide range of emotions and feelings that we are supposed to feel, it is how we choose to navigate those feelings and emotions that can make all the difference.
More Info About My Practice
Change is usually associated with stress and a lot of us are not fond of it. We find comfort in our routine even when that routine is allowing us to feel overwhelmed and underappreciated. Even at its worst, neglected or abused. However, change is what inspires and produces growth. Without growth, we wither and shrink away becoming someone whom we barely recognize. We are life forces and energy that need growth in order to realize our fullest potential. We are all unique and individual.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Many years ago I sought help through counseling it was that journey that changed the course of my life. I have always known that this is my purpose. I was a late scholar bloomer, I did not go back to school until I was 43 years old. I now have the privilege and honor to walk along side others as they discover what is important to them. I have always felt if I can do for one person what my therapist helped me do I will have paid it forward.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Not all therapists are the same, do not allow a negative experience keep you from seeking what you need. Finding a therapist that fits "you" is not always easy and people tend to give up because the process can be daunting. I encourage you to keep looking, keep seeking you will find your "fit" and when you do amazing things can happen
