My Approach to Helping
If you’re overwhelmed, grieving, anxious, or just tired of “holding it together,” you’re not failing—you’re human. My role is to offer a calm, nonjudgmental space and practical support so you can breathe, make sense of what’s happening, and move forward.
We’ll start by understanding what hurts, and what matters most. From there, we’ll build small, realistic steps using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches (like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment work). I’m collaborative and transparent; I’ll offer tools and check in about pace and fit. You don’t have to carry this alone. Together, we’ll create changes you can feel—in session, and in daily life.
More Info About My Practice
I’m a Vernon-based counselor who believes change should feel doable in real life—not just in session. If you’re overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in communication loops, navigating grief, or trying to parent without burning out, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ll meet you exactly where you’re at, and we’ll take clear, compassionate steps forward together.
In our work, you can expect warmth, honesty, and practical tools you can use the same week. We’ll start by clarifying what matters most to you—sleep, calmer days, fewer arguments, feeling like yourself again—and build a plan that fits your personality, culture, family, and schedule. I’ll offer simple strategies for nervous-system calming, boundary-setting, and communication that actually lands. We’ll check in often, celebrate progress, and adjust when life throws curveballs.
I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families across the Vernon area. Whether you’re a student juggling school stress, a parent carrying a lot, a couple wanting to reconnect, or someone healing from loss or hard experiences, you’ll find a calm, nonjudgmental space here. Sessions are available in person in Vernon and online across BC, with daytime and select evening and Saturday options.
If you’re ready for support that feels human, steady, and useful, let’s start. Small steps add up, and you don’t have to take them alone.
