My Approach to Helping

I am honored when you choose me to share your story with. Your path is sacred. A journey through highs and lows, learning experiences, triumphs and tragedies. Here is a place you are heard.

I provide therapy services to Colorado residents only. I provide Missouri residents with substance use counseling andor Transformative Coaching that is consistent with my integrative practice outlined below. I provide Transformative Coaching to clients throughout the U.S. and the World that includes my integrative practice but differs from counseling. For Transformative Coaching sessions please visit Open Path Healing Arts Collective or go to my website.

I work from a person centered, holistic, integrated medicine lens that includes breathwork, mindfulness, coping skill development, understanding and reframing your thoughts, affirmation and gratitude work, yoga and mindful movement, somatic embodiment and expressive arts therapies. I require a 30 minute free consult prior to booking and accepting you as a client so we can see if we are a good fit together. My Open Path rate is between 30-50 per hour.

My training, degrees, certifications and study are from the Andrew Weil Institute of Integrated Medicine, Regis University, Sofia University, Columbia University, Hazelden Betty Ford, University of Colorado-Boulder, UC-San Marcos, University of Central Florida, University at Buffalo School of Social Work, Capella University and University of Pennsylvania, Sophia University, Regis University, Capella University as well as numerous additional credentials and professional development work in expressive arts therapy, trauma treatment, grief and loss, substance use, alternative and complimentary treatment practices for mental health and cognition and mental health nutrition. I have studied with trauma specialists Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. Stephen Porges and trauma centered expressive art therapist Dr. Cathy Malchiodi as well as Linda Thai in Somatics (body based healing).

My mission is to educate on how to help regain and enhance mental wellness through these methods. By focusing on an individual’s unique needs in a whole body, mind, spirit practice, grounded in trauma informed practice and neuroscience she has successfully treated individuals with substance use issues, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, unresolved and unhealed trauma, unhealed grief and ADHD.

Everything we feel and do relates to our well-being and directly affects our actions and emotions. In order to subdue stress, reduce illness, and ensure positive moments in your life, you must learn coping skills and engage in practices that support your mind, body and spirit. Common issue that we work with individuals with range from anxiety, panic and trauma recovery to depression, grief, AHDH and simple adjustments to life. Here mental and spiritual wellness is our focus–coping skills, honoring your spirit and path, validation and affirmation, cognitive reframing, behavior supported nutrition and movement and expressive therapies with talk therapy for processing and deeper understanding of the self.

Integrated Mental Health (IMH) focuses on using holistic alternative medicine treatments and practices to enhance mental health and healing. It combines lifestyle, nutrition, supplements, movement, expressive arts, Heart Variability Training, neuroscience, body based practices, Ayurveda, mindfulness and meditation, affirmation and yoga. Jessica is trained in using Endocannabinoids for mental wellness and to help manage symptoms of mental distress in cooperation with healing meditation, breathwork, movement, vibrational and energy healing and lifestyle changes. We examine thought patterns and self talk and help you change the thinking and behavior patterns that may limit you.
