My Approach to Helping
Do you spend your time wondering when things will get better? Does it feel like every time you try to take one step forward, you end up taking two steps back? Many of my clients come in seeking clarity on why they feel the way they feel, what's getting in the way of their goals, and how they have established patterns of behavior that no longer serve them. I work with clients to explore the root of their troubles and develop healthy coping mechanisms to help relieve uncomfortable symptoms. Using a direct, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach I help clients create long-term, sustainable changes.
My specialties include working with individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, and Family Dynamics. My clinical background is fostered in the care of adolescents and adults, with a focus on young adulthood. I've gained valuable experience providing cognitive, behavioral, and solution based therapy to individuals in out-patient settings.
My passion for mental health stems from personal experience. As a teen, I struggled with feelings of anxiety and depression. As a therapist, I recognize the inherent value of this shared point-of-view, and utilize this perspective to bridge the gap between client and therapist. I offer flexible hours for busy individuals and I look forward to connecting soon.
