Congratulations on following through with your decision to seek professional care and welcome to my practice. My primary objectives are to help you resolve past negative experiences, address emotional issues, and learn practical skills to improve your quality of life.

My counseling style is thoughtful, empathetic, and judgement-free. I will support, guide, and challenge you as we work together. In each session, I will help you recognize and adjust any negative thinking patterns that may be prohibiting you from reaching your goals. I will also assist you in developing a more positive perspective when tackling your presenting issues.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy. However, I am aware that your needs, strengths, and circumstances are unique. As a result, I will work closely with you to customize your treatment plan so you may meet your specific needs and treatment goals.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am skilled at helping young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship or adjustment issues, or confusion around their career identity. I am also skilled at helping women to improve their self-esteem, self-worth and body image.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to be a sounding board for all of the internal thoughts & feelings that often don't make their way out of our mind and body. I will listen, empathize, and reflect as you share your current concerns and issues with me. From there, I will provide you with insight, support, and techniques to help manage or minimize your symptoms and resolve your issues. I will check in with you often throughout our work together to determine what strategies are working and not working for you. We will adjust our approach until we find the best tools to treat your issues in the most effective way.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Your therapist is someone that should help you process your emotions, dig deeper into your past and current circumstances, provide insight and perspective, identify patterns and self-sabotaging behaviors, and share useful techniques for you to use and incorporate into your life outside of therapy. Your therapist is someone that should make you feel equal parts challenged and supported in their work with you.

Because of this, it is important that you choose a therapist you can trust, that you feel heard and understood by, and that you can be or can eventually be open and vulnerable with.
