Are you wondering how to begin a new journey or manage the unthinkable that has occurred in your life? This is something you do not have to walk in alone.. I would be honored to walk with you to find acceptance in your trials and journey. This does not mean getting over or being healed, this means learning more of how to embrace trials and see growth within yourself through times of struggle and excitement. How can I help you allow yourself to feel and be present in all moments of your daily life? Joyful Soul Counseling would like to impact souls and help you find a direction in life that maybe you have never thought possible, or perhaps needs fine tuning. How can you and I sort through the details to make sense of what you are dealing with in this moment? Perhaps making sense means knowing and finding contentment in not being in control of situations but finding joy in them regardless. I look to move with you through life for as little or as long as the process takes. I look forward to hearing from you!

More Info About My Practice

A joyful soul is something I live on a daily basis. I want to feel joy and know that through any circumstance I will come out on the other side. I mess up and make mistakes and yet know that I will, what matters is how I rise after a mistake and not give into temptation or old behaviors that are destructive. I want to work with you to find new ways to rise up and live.

I have been in the counseling field since 2004. I currently am a Licensed Addiction Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Working with people who struggle with addictions has been the focus. I have found that while addictions may indicate substances, yet I have seen so much more outside of substances that control us and our everyday lives. Joy and peace are not elusive gifts we can give ourselves, but are fruits that aid in our growth and development in helping us see ourselves for the amazing human beings we are.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

This statements hold so many people back in life in general. I ask you today - Can you hate yourself into being happy?

My hope through the process of counseling is that an objective perspective is offered to you so that you can find the joy to live versus exist and go through the motions. We are all flawed, this is not something you are alone in. I work with you to see those flaws and find acceptance in them and move into a light where your flaws are your greatest strengths. Therapy is about looking at who you are and accepting you to have self-confidence that we all crave. Walking through this journey is not about becoming something, this journey is about knowing who you are and holding true to those traits.
