I approach the work with empathy. As a therapist, I am honest, attentive, and direct. I take time to listen and understand your troubles and what brings you in for therapy.

I prefer to see those I work with more than once per week, although I am flexible with what works best for each individual.

More Info About My Practice

I work with adults, adolescents, and children. With children and teens, therapy often includes parents, although not necessarily.

In addition to being in private practice, I also work for Barr-Harris Children's Grief Clinic, where I work with children and families who have experienced loss or separation.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Therapy is helpful because it is a space reserved for free thought and expression. Anything and everything can be spoken in therapy and this allows for greater exposure to oneself and to one's mind. We really get to know ourselves when we our speaking without censorship and without certain social and cultural pressures.
Our world is filled with distractions, and therapy is a rare space where one can look at one's life, be contemplative and introspective, and also be listened to and attended to. This experience leads to greater freedom and increased compassion for oneself and one's struggles.
