My Approach to Helping
Welcome! I'm passionate about helping you with trauma and its related symptoms. This could look like PTSD, C-PSTD, or chronic stress. Or it could look like depression, anxiety, avoidance, dissociation, struggles with attachment and trust, difficulty regulating emotions, over-control of emotions, shame, borderline traits, and other mood changes and symptoms. No matter what, I believe in providing you with the most trusted and knowledgeable therapeutic care. I integrate the therapy world's strongest treatment modalities so that you can be sure your wellbeing is in good hands.
My overall approach is reflective and practical, informed by the latest research in applied neuroscience (what we know about the brain and nervous system), developmental psychology (attachment), and compassion-focused therapy. I also integrate EMDR, cognitive processing therapy, somatic therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and radically open dialectical behavior therapy, ego state IFS work, and the neuroaffective relational model.
Together, we can work towards recovery and a life worth living beyond trauma and the experiences that have hurt you.
