My Approach to Helping
I believe we, as humans, have an important need to be heard and understood. People need to know they are valuable and that their opinions and thoughts matter. I believe it is important for people to have a safe place to express these emotions. Some people are going to have difficulty expressing themselves, while others are going to have trouble controlling themselves. No matter where you are in life, I will meet you there. I will work to understand you, hear you, and help you work it out. Whether you just need to bounce ideas around or you need help constructing a new life plan, I look forward to being that safe place for you.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
The way I look at therapy is simple. If your car got stuck in the mud, would you call a tow truck to help you? It is not any different with going to therapy. Sometimes our lives get "stuck" and we need a little help to get out of the mud.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
A good client-therapist relationship is essential for healing to take place. The therapist should consistently offer a warm, non-judgmental presence in a calm environment. This will help promote a sense of safety for the client to be open and honest.
