My Approach to Helping
You are desperate to find answers to help with the pain, chaos, and emptiness you feel. Whether it is eating secretly to comfort yourself, having to drink every night to sleep, pushing yourself to achieve, or isolating yourself. Life is too short for shitty coping skills and half-assed dreams. Attempting to balance family, work, and your self-care can feel overwhelming and tends to end with you feeling worse about yourself and how you can't get it together. Shame and guilt keep you stationary where you are and if you had to admit that things were not where you wanted you might actually crumble. Your pain is real but so is hope.
Imagine looking forward to a day when you are confident and in control of your life. Understanding what stress is, how it plays into your life, and ways to make peace with it with useful coping skills. Handling your many roles in life with joy instead of feeling like you are drowning. If I am speaking to you, then please know that you aren't alone.
I like to use a combination of different therapies to fit your unique treatment goals and desires. There is a least one session dedicated to treatment planning where I explain different options such as DBT, CBT, or SF-CBT and how they can look implemented into your goals. You are able to decide which road to take and I am the tour guide to help get you there.
