My Approach to Helping
I utilize multiple theories and perspectives to offer a holistic depth therapy. I honor your wisdom and believe that the wholeness and self-confidence you seek is already alive inside of you. However we don't always feel that way, with skilled guidance, we can unlock the innate strength you hold. I offer an interactive and engaged therapy. Working together we can build a stable base of self-belief that will help you reach your goals. I believe that healing is facilitated in relationship, and that's where I start, in creating a mutually respectful and trusting relationship to help us explore what is holding you back.
Focused in the here and now, Gestalt therapy is a uniquely powerful way to access what is alive in you. It draws on all of your senses and awareness to focus in on your experience, wherein the answers to your questions lie.
It is my passion to do this work. I work with individuals, couples and adolescents on a variety of issues; including, but not limited to: lack of confidence, relationship struggles, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-realization and understanding, feeling stuck in life, and increasing interpersonal skills.
More Info About My Practice
I offer therapy services for adults for $140 (55-minute session). I offer therapy to adolescents, age 12-17 for $120. I have a limited number of lower fee spots for those in financial need. I do not take insurance at this time.
I work out of the 126 Church Street office Monday, Wednesday and Friday. My hours are from 9am to 9pm.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It is understandable to feel unsure about beginning therapy, especially if you are new to it. It is of great importance for you to feel connected to your therapist. That is why I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation before therapy begins. Finding out if we are a good match for each other is essential in creating a relationship that can foster healing and growth. If we decide we are not a good match, I will gladly refer you to someone I believe may be a better fit for you.
Therapy can be a deeply connecting and healing process. I encourage you to give it a try.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Particularly when starting therapy, I believe that weekly sessions provide the space needed to build a solid connection necessary to successfully address the work. After the more pressing issues you brought in to therapy are attended to, I welcome every-other-week sessions, or sessions as needed. This process is for you, and what you are wanting and needing is of utmost importance.
