My Approach to Helping
I enjoy using individual therapy to help my clients cope with challenging times in life such as trauma and transitions. Issues I've assisted people in addressing include: healing from abuse, divorce, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, coping with chronic illness and more. I work to provide a safe, warm and comfortable space for people as well as to provide them with tools to help get through difficult times and situations.
I view therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist. In my work, I look for the strengths that are inherent in each of us and seek to help people work toward meeting their goals in a supportive and affirming environment. I often utilize humor in my work as I do believe that laughter can often be great "medicine."
