My Approach to Helping
The model is called EAGALA and it involves teamwork consisting of horses, client, mental health professional, and an equine specialist. The work is client-centered and solution-focused. The client chooses goals and moves at their own pace. Horses reflect what they pick up and the client becomes part of the herd in a field or arena. No riding, the horses are not being controlled, but being on equal ground. Therapy becomes more holistic and natural. I have several stables for use in Western Washington for better access.
