My Approach to Helping
Creating a place in which my clients feel safe is important to me. Video sessions are a great choice for many clients. Other choices I offer are "Walk and Talk" sessions and in-office sessions. Being in nature can be very helpful for some people, so "Walk and Talk" sessions are very popular. My office is set up to be a calming place so my clients can feel a sense of relaxation when they walk through the door (in-office sessions have limited availability due to COVID concerns).
It is important to address anxiety because it can be very debilitating no matter what other struggles are present. Anxiety can make everything more difficult to deal with. Anxiety can impact every area of life, including interpersonal relationships, sexual intimacy, work, and school. Together, we can work on finding healthy ways to cope with stress.
Working collaboratively and making joint decisions about treatment works very well for my clients. Compassion, respect, and acceptance will always be present.
