My Approach to Helping
I feel strongly about helping people that struggle with anxiety, chronic or invisible illness, intimacy issues, sex addiction, and patrners that have experienced betrayal. Interpersonal relationships can be severely impacted when a person is suffering with any mental health challenge. I help people find healthy ways to cope with their problems and also strengthen and improve communication skills.
Creating a place in which my clients feel safe is important to me. My office is set up to be a calming place so my clients can feel a sense of relaxation when they walk through the door. Some people can't easily relax indoors. Being in nature can be very helpful for some people so I offer Walk and Talk sessions in scenic places.
Working collaboratively and making joint decisions about treatment works very well for my clients. Whether we are inside or outside of my office, compassion, respect, and acceptance will always be present.
