More Info About My Practice
Therapy is a process that enables you to work through the effects of emotional difficulties, as well as your relationships with others. I work to help my clients achieve deeper self-awareness so they can understand and identify the underlying feelings and thoughts that affect their relationships with themselves and others.
I work to help you find more connections with others, within yourself, and to the world around you. I want to see you move past isolation into a fulfilling, connected life. I collaborate with my clients in an open, challenging, and warm environment. Together we'll work to better understand your issues, wrestle with your struggles, and help you gain more self-acceptance, well-being, and empowerment.
I want to help you address challenges such as unhealthy relationships, depression, panic, anxiety, and fear so you can become a more authentic self and live a more meaningful life. Through this interactive relationship, I believe you can gain greater insight into your relationships, thus allowing you to achieve the sort of relationship you want.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I work with adults, couples, and adolescents deal with issues such as relationship problems, peer pressure, intimacy and sexual issues, and addiction. I blend relational and interpersonal approaches, integrating elements of developmental psychology, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral, therapy, and emotionally-focused couples therapy.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Working together to deepen that understanding, reduce distress, create better ways of coping, promote healing, and structure changes that allow for greater balance in your life. The relationship developed between the patient and therapist can be a wonderful tool for change. What happens in the therapy room often mirrors what happens outside in the world. By looking at and understanding this relationship, troubling behavioral patterns can be modified and healthier and more fulfilling relationships can be achieved.
