My Approach to Helping
Consciously or not, we tell ourselves about who we are and get stuck in those self imposed limitations. We know there is more to who we are but don't allow for all those possibilities. In our work, you will gain new perspectives about who you are, and what you really want. My aim to connect to people with clarity, wisdom, compassion, and joy, so that in that way they learn to connect to themselves. To truly understand oneself and to be understood by another is what leads to healing. A therapist is your teacher and your student. As you teach me about yourself, we learn together who you are, and what you need. I bring an experienced and sensitive perspective that helps you discover, use, and enjoy your strengths. The process of therapy includes: AWARENESS, COMPASSION, AUTHENTICITY, PURPOSE, INTIMACY, HUMOR, INSPIRATION, CLARITY, HEALING

How Psychotherapy Can Help
I am a believer in the usefulness and power of psychoanalysis. The process of exploring your history and patterns of your choices. Repetitions of which you are not conscious, and bringing those to light is the beginning of acceptance and change.
In exploring your life's story, we also learn about the way your mind works. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy challenges and restructures self defeating thinking patterns. I will help you find clarity and the steps to understanding and change.
Ultimately, therapy taps into your creativity and your most real self, thereby you find the freedom of living your truth. Through therapy you discover an intimacy with yourself and see it play out in the love you create with others. The authentic, fullest you awaits expression. Your creativity, whatever it is, is what makes you exceptional!
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy is for people to experience a truly encouraging, safe, supportive, honest, environment in which they learn most deeply about who they are and what their purpose is in life, and how to achieve it.
The process of therapy brings to light what is and isn't working well in one's life, and why. With sensitivity, I guide clients to uncover their truths.
The truth is that everyone struggles with their relationships and intimacy. My sense of my years of work with so many different people through the years, is that ultimately I have helped them through their discomfort with intimacy - with themselves and others.
