My Approach to Helping
Life can be extremely challenging when dealing with the impact of the past or when facing current life-changing experiences. I’m a licensed clinical social worker who is experienced in the areas of substance abuse disorders and dependency, trauma (emotional, physical, sexual, developmental, and domestic violence), life transitions, and mood disorders. I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families in a collaborative way.
I use my knowledge and experience of the recovery process to approach each client with respect to their individual needs while nurturing their physical, psychological, and spiritual health. Using an eclectic and integrative approach, I incorporate Person-in-Environment (PIE), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), family systems, interpersonal, and solution-focused therapy along with Rogerian positive regard into my practice.
My essential role is to provide support, healing, and growth while honoring the courage it takes to cultivate awareness and change. Whatever your reasons or needs for therapy, you will find a warm and safe environment for personal exploration and development.
