Along with other criteria, the group being put together is for young women who are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and boundary related issues around work, relationships, and overall life management. This group is for individuals with or without insurance. Non-insurance rate is $50 per session.

Group therapy involves at least one mental health professional and other people in therapy. Group therapy is not the same as a self-help or support group. A group dynamic of carefully selected individuals often helps people feel supported.

Many people use group therapy alongside individual therapy, or other types of care. You may be doubtful about receiving treatment in a room of strangers. However, there are many benefits to participating in group therapy.

Members of a group can provide advice on how to cope with situations that many in the group find challenging. Also, listening to others speak about their personal experiences can help put your own thoughts into perspective.

My Approach to Helping

As a therapist, I work non-judgmentally with adult individuals and couples seeking growth due to transitional life changes, or simply overall personal improvement. My therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioral and holistic in nature, focusing on the whole individual and taking into account personal, circumstantial, and social factors.
We all experience major and minor adjustments through life, and we are all capable of successfully managing them. Though we may be able to get through them alone, it can be beneficial to have the guidance and support of a professional.

My graduate mental health degree was obtained from Fordham University in New York City, where I reside. I am fluent in both Spanish and English. In addition to private practice, I also consult for organizations nationwide around personnel and team development.
