My Approach to Helping
I work with individuals, couples, and families around a variety of mental health concerns, but specialize in working with women and adolescent girls who are experiencing struggles around body image, problematic eating behaviorseating disorders, and substance abuse. As women, we receive a wide variety of messages about who we are vs. who we should be. Holding onto these messages plays a large role in the development of mental health issues. Understanding these life experiences that have shaped who you are today is an important step into interacting with yourself in different way.
