My Approach to Helping
I work with individuals, couples, and families around a variety of mental health concerns, but specialize in working with women and adolescent girls who are experiencing struggles around body image, problematic eating behaviors/eating disorders, and substance abuse. As women, we receive a wide variety of messages about who we are vs. who we should be. Holding onto these messages plays a large role in the development of mental health issues. Understanding these life experiences that have shaped who you are today is an important step into interacting with yourself in different way.

Finding a therapist can be an incredibly daunting task. You want to find someone with whom you feel safe and can trust. I believe you are the ultimate authority on your own experience. A therapist serves as witness, narrator, teacher, advocate, or simply a kind presence - whatever is most helpful and needed for you at the time.
My Therapy Focus
My main therapy focus is helping you navigate through those struggles that you feel are holding you back in your life.
